About Houston Elementary

‘Growing, Excelling, and Shining!’ At Houston Elementary, the staff members guide students and provide opportunities to Grow in their responsibility of caring for others. The faculty and staff members provide instruction for students’ academic progress and the environment to Excel in academics with each child doing his/her best. Opportunities are available to Shine with diversity. Students demonstrate diverse skills through participation in clubs and activities such as Students Helping Others, Orchestra, Band, school plays, Chorus, Oceanography, and other experiences made available to all students. Through the PTSO, special activities are provided such as roller skating events, Teacher Appreciation Day, the Husky Store, and a community carnival. Parents and community members volunteer their time in a wide variety of ways throughout the school year. The combination of an outstanding facility, a caring faculty and staff who are dedicated to student success and high performance, a committed and supportive school community, and an excellent academic program make Houston Elementary a wonderful place for children to learn.
