Certified Employment Opportunities

Directions to apply for certified positions in Gilbert Public Schools

To apply for a certified position, you will need to create an account and then login to complete an application. You will need to create a username and password to access your application. Please keep a record of this information, as we are unable to retrieve it for future use. After you have completed the application, you will have access to edit or update your application at any time by clicking on the pencil icon.

If you already have an existing online application with Gilbert Public Schools, you may login and modify your existing application.

As a part of this process, you will also need to provide us with the following items:

  • A resume that includes your references with current telephone numbers including summer numbers, if applicable.
  • A copy of your college transcripts.
  • Three letters of recommendation that include one from each of the following:
    1. Your most recent supervisor or administrator;
    2. Your supervising/mentor teacher, if applicable; and
    3. Your department head.

If a letter from your supervising/mentor teacher is not applicable, please provide a recommendation from someone who can attest to your teaching ability. Letters from friends or relatives will not be considered as one of the three required reference letters.

The above items may be submitted via the Internet. Directions for attaching these items will be found on the last page of the on-line application. You may also mail them directly to Carla Melton, Human Resources Department, 140 S. Gilbert Rd, Gilbert, AZ 85296. Your letters of recommendation and transcripts will be scanned into our application program and then shredded. Therefore, please do not send original documents. Your file will then be made available for screening and/or employment interviews. Due to the volume of applications received, our Human Resources Department is unable to accommodate pre-screening interviews for all of our applicants. If an administrator requests a screening interview after your file is reviewed, they will contact you to set up an interview. All recommendations for employment are finalized through the Human Resources Department; therefore, all inquiries should be made directly to this office.
